Young Thug's father, Jeffrey Williams Sr., recently expressed mixed feelings about his son's plea deal in the high-profile YSL case. While grateful for his son's release, Williams Sr. wished his son had continued fighting to prove his innocence.

"I wanted him to keep fighting. Let's make them continue to embarrass themselves," Williams Sr. told Atlanta's 11Alive news outlet. However, he maintains his support for his son's decision, acknowledging that as an adult, Young Thug must make his own choices.

The plea deal's conditions include a controversial 10-year ban from the Metro Atlanta area, which Williams Sr. strongly opposes. "I'm totally against that, because this is where he's from. To have a district attorney take that away from him is offensive to me," he stated.

Throughout the legal proceedings, Williams Sr. has been a vocal supporter of both his son and other YSL members, including Gunna. He defended Gunna when the artist faced criticism for taking an Alford plea, highlighting the immense pressure the legal system placed on the YSL family.

Despite his reservations about the plea agreement, Williams Sr. remains optimistic about his son's future. "I feel great that he's going home... I've always been in his life, from a pup to now. And I'm gonna continue to be in his life," he affirmed, demonstrating his commitment to supporting his son through this transition period.
