The legal battle, which began in 2020, centered on Young Thug's alleged breach of performance agreements and involved a $5.2 million advance. The case faced delays due to the artist's gang-related charges, which resulted in 15 years' probation and relocation from Georgia.

AEG Presents resumed litigation in November 2024, focusing on Young Thug's music IP that was allegedly used as collateral. The promoter discovered the IP had been sold to a third party for $16 million, leading to subpoenas and legal threats.

Key Settlement Details:

  • Case dismissed without prejudice
  • Settlement terms remain confidential
  • Court retains jurisdiction for one year to enforce settlement terms
  • Young Thug must perform four charity concerts annually (part of plea deal)

Moving forward, Young Thug is scheduled to perform at Les Ardentes on July 5th, marking his first post-arrest performance announcement. Additional shows are expected to be announced soon, particularly to fulfill his charity concert obligations.
