Taylor Swift is currently signed to Republic Records, a division of Universal Music Group, after joining the label in November 2018. This marked a significant change in her career following her departure from Big Machine Records, where she spent the first 13 years of her recording career.

Prior to Republic Records, Swift was signed to Big Machine Records from 2005 to 2018. During her time with Big Machine, she released six successful studio albums: "Taylor Swift" (2006), "Fearless" (2008), "Speak Now" (2010), "Red" (2012), "1989" (2014), and "Reputation" (2017).

Since joining Republic Records, Swift has maintained full ownership of her master recordings for all new music released under the label. This includes her albums:

- "Lover" (2019)
- "folklore" (2020)
- "evermore" (2020)
- "Midnights" (2022)
- Re-recorded versions of her previous albums

The switch to Republic Records was particularly noteworthy because it gave Swift greater control over her artistic and business decisions. Under her new contract, she owns all master recordings of music created after signing with Republic Records.

It's worth mentioning that Swift is currently in the process of re-recording her first six albums, which were originally released under Big Machine Records. This decision came after the controversial sale of her original master recordings to Scooter Braun's company in 2019. These re-recorded versions, known as "Taylor's Version," are being released through Republic Records.

Republic Records has proven to be a successful partnership for Swift, with her releases consistently breaking records and achieving critical acclaim. The label continues to support her artistic vision and business ventures, including her highly successful tours and special releases.
