Web3 startup Story has acquired producer rights to several Blackpink tracks and other K-pop recordings, planning to sell them as NFTs to fans. The acquisition includes partial rights to Blackpink's "Yeah Yeah Yeah," "Ready For Love," Jisoo's "Flower," "All Eyes On Me," and Bigbang's "Still Life."

Story has previously sold tokenized hits from major artists including Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, and Maroon 5. Their project has already raised over $10 million, with $7 million generated in the first 10 minutes.

According to a Story spokesperson, the company acquired "partial copyright and income directly from one or more producers involved in the creation of these songs." Investors who participate will receive a portion of copyrights and income streams, with Story projecting an annualized royalty yield of 6-8% over the next five years.

The initiative is part of Story's larger mission to tokenize K-pop intellectual property through their IP RWA protocol via Aria. This move comes as Blackpink continues to expand their reach, with member Lisa making her acting debut in Season 3 of HBO Max's "The White Lotus."
