Spinnin' Records Names WMG's Niels Walboomers as New Head of Label
Spinnin' Records, the renowned electronic dance music label, has appointed WMG's President of Recorded Music and Publishing in Benelux, Niels Walboomers, as its new leader. This change comes as Ewout Swart steps down from his Co-President position after 16 years with the company.

While maintaining its independence from WM Benelux, the label will see Walboomers working closely with Jorn Heringa on A&R activities. Swart, who started as a Royalties Manager in 2009, progressed to COO in 2016 and Co-President in 2023. This transition follows Roger De Graaf's departure as Co-President in November 2024 after 25 years of service.
Simon Robson, President of EMEA Recorded Music at WMG, expressed confidence in the new leadership, highlighting Walboomers' recent successes, including signing superstar DJs CYRIL and Mau P to WCM.
Founded in 1999 by Roger de Graaf and Eelko von Kooten, Spinnin' Records became part of Warner Music Group in 2017. The label has been instrumental in launching the careers of major dance music artists, including:
- Afrojack
- Martin Garrix
- Nicky Romero
- Oliver Heldens
- Timmy Trumpet
- Don Diablo
- Sam Feldt
- Fedde Le Grand
- KSHMR
- Kriss Kross Amsterdam
The label maintains a strong digital presence with over 31 million YouTube subscribers and nearly 4 million Instagram followers, cementing its position as a leading force in electronic dance music.
