Sony and Honda's Afeela EV Partners with Spotify for Exclusive In-Car Entertainment System
Sony and Honda's electric vehicle venture Afeela has announced Spotify as their exclusive in-dash entertainment partner, with pre-orders now available in California.

The Afeela 1 comes in two trim options:
- Origin: Starting at $89,900
- Signature: Starting at $102,900
Both models include a three-year subscription to in-car features, including driver assist and AI-powered personal assistant. The Spotify integration allows drivers to access:
- Over 100 million songs
- 6 million podcast titles
- 350,000 audiobooks
- Personalized playlists and recommendations
- Recently played content

- Estimated 300-mile range
- Built-in Tesla Supercharger network support
- Available exclusively in "Core Black"
- Over 40 sensors and cameras for semi-autonomous driving
- Full-width dashboard display screens
- Handleless door design concept
Currently, pre-orders require a $200 refundable deposit and are limited to California residents. The prototype shown at CES 2024 is considered "near final" by CEO Yasuhide Mizuno, featuring a design that combines elements of the Honda Accord and Lucid Air. Availability outside California has not yet been announced.
