The deal encompasses material from lang's extensive discography, which includes 12 solo studio albums from 1988's Shadowland to 2008's Watershed, along with various collaborative projects and singles. Her hit song "Constant Craving" (1992) has garnered over 50 million streams on Spotify alone.
The eight-time Juno Award winner expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, citing a strong connection with Reservoir's founder and CEO, Golnar Khosrowshahi. "Golnar is a force of nature and understands me as an artist. I am deeply inspired and have utmost confidence in this creative partnership," lang stated.
Khosrowshahi highlighted the significance of working with a fellow Canadian artist and emphasized Reservoir's commitment to expanding lang's audience reach. The company aims to introduce her musical legacy to new listeners while supporting her future creative endeavors.
This partnership adds to Reservoir's growing portfolio, following recent deals with Snoop Dogg and Death Row Records. The company's stock has shown positive momentum, rising over 50% since mid-October 2023.
