The release was preceded by the single "All Red," which reached #15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #3 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
MUSIC features an impressive lineup of collaborations, including:

- The Weeknd ("Rather Lie")
- Future ("Charge Dem Hoes a Fee," "Trim")
- Lil Uzi Vert ("Jumpin," "Twin Trim")
- Skepta ("Toxic")
- Young Thug and Ty Dolla $ign ("We Need All Da Vibes")
The album's production team includes notable names such as Cardo, Metro Boomin, Southside, F1lthy, Ye, Cash Cobain, and Ojivolta.
Spotify supported the album's launch with promotional billboards across major U.S. cities including Los Angeles, New York City, and Miami, featuring messages like 'STREETS READY,' 'SORRY4 DA WAIT' and 'I AM MUSIC MF.'
Playboi Carti is scheduled to headline Rolling Loud California, continuing his tradition of releasing new music before major festival performances, similar to his 2018 debut album Die Lit's release before Rolling Loud Miami.
