Netflix is releasing a new documentary about the late EDM producer and DJ Avicii, narrated by the artist himself through previously recorded interviews. "I'm Tim" premieres on December 31, following its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival.

The documentary offers an intimate look at Tim Bergling's (Avicii's real name) journey from his early days in Sweden to his rise as a global EDM superstar. It features interviews with his parents, friends, colleagues, and fellow artists. Additionally, Netflix will stream Avicii's final performance at Ushuaïa Ibiza from August 2016, his last show before retiring from touring at age 26.

Directed by Henrik Burman and produced by Björn Tjärnberg, "I'm Tim" follows the 2017 documentary "Avicii: True Stories." The film adds to recent Avicii-related releases, including a photobook documenting his life and career, and a biography by Swedish journalist Måns Mosesson.

In 2022, the Avicii Estate sold 75% of the artist's catalog to Pophouse, including hits like "Wake Me Up," "Seek Bromance," and "Levels." A recent auction of his personal items raised $750,000 for the Tim Bergling Foundation, supporting youth mental health education.
