Miami Beach Revokes Diddy's Key to the City Following Vice Mayor's Harsh Condemnation
Miami Beach has officially revoked Sean "Diddy" Combs' key to the city, which was originally awarded in 2015. The decision comes amid serious allegations against the music mogul.

Vice Mayor Alex Fernandez expressed strong disapproval of Combs, describing the allegations as "disgusting," "dirty," and "inhumane." The city commission, led by Mayor Steven Weiner, voted unanimously for the revocation on October 30.
This action follows New York City's similar decision to rescind Combs' key after surveillance footage emerged showing him allegedly assaulting ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura in 2016. The footage was related to Ventura's November 2023 lawsuit alleging sexual and physical assault, which was settled one day after filing but sparked multiple similar legal actions.
Combs, 54, is currently detained in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial in May 2025 on charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and continues to deny the allegations.
Additionally, Miami has canceled "Diddy Day," which was previously celebrated on October 13.
