Megadeth Moves to BLKIIBLK Records After UMG, New Album Coming in 2025

After releasing three studio albums with UMG and Mustaine's Tradecraft between 2013 and 2022, the thrash metal pioneers are now joining BLKIIBLK Records, a label dedicated to pushing the boundaries of heavy music. The new album is expected to debut in fall or winter 2025.
Dave Mustaine, Megadeth's founder, expressed enthusiasm about reuniting with Tom Lipsky, who previously worked with the band at Sanctuary Records during the release of "The World Needs a Hero" (2001) and "The System Has Failed" (2004). Lipsky now serves as A&R head for North America at Frontiers.
The band is currently about 90 days into the recording process, with Mustaine sharing that the new material is progressing well. Their upcoming schedule includes performances at Bonnaroo and Norway's Tons of Rock in June, followed by European tour dates in October.
Tom Lipsky revealed that Megadeth was the first artist they wanted to sign to define BLKIIBLK's creative mission. The label, which also represents Sick N' Beautiful and Biohazard, aims to showcase pioneering and influential talent in the heavy music genre.
CTK Management is developing a comprehensive global plan for the album's release, marking a new chapter in Megadeth's four-decade career. The Naples-based Frontiers Label Group, founded by Serafino Perugino nearly 30 years ago, continues to expand its roster, recently adding Don Felder of the Eagles to its lineup.
