Lil Wayne has revealed June 6, 2025, as the release date for his highly anticipated album 'Tha Carter VI' through a creative Cetaphil Super Bowl advertisement campaign titled "We're All A Lil Sensitive."

The campaign cleverly plays on Wayne's public disappointment about not being selected for this year's Super Bowl halftime show. Throughout the ad, the sequence 6-6-25 appears multiple times on jerseys and scoreboards, culminating in a studio door sign reading "Do Not Disturb 'Til 06-06-2025" with "Carter VI" written on duct tape.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Wayne explained, "The world knew I was disappointed, but what they didn't know was that it made me determined to deliver something way bigger."

The NFL's decision to book Kendrick Lamar and SZA instead of Wayne led to an interesting musical response. On Lamar's recent album GNX, he addresses the situation in "wacced out murals," rapping, "Used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud/ Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down."

Wayne previously expressed his disappointment about missing the opportunity to perform in his hometown of New Orleans, acknowledging his fans' support: "It made me feel like shit, not getting this opportunity, and when I felt like shit, you guys reminded me that I ain't shit without y'all."
