J. Cole's Dreamville Festival has announced its 2025 event will be its "fifth and final" edition, joining the growing list of music festival changes in 2024. The festival is scheduled for April 5th and 6th, 2025, in Raleigh, with the full lineup announcement expected before the end of 2024.

Despite attracting over 100,000 attendees in 2024 and generating a reported $145 million local economic impact, organizers have confirmed the festival's conclusion. Presale tickets are currently available at $299.99 for general admission.

The festival's farewell announcement emphasized its original mission: "From the very beginning, the idea behind the fest was creating a place where our fans, the Dreamville community, could spend time together, a place where they could see themselves reflected, a place to share in experiences."

This decision comes amid a challenging landscape for music festivals, with over 170 events being canceled, postponed, or discontinued in 2024 alone. The timing is particularly notable as Dreamville's final edition will conclude just four days before Coachella 2025's first weekend.

The festival industry has shown signs of strain, with even major events like Coachella experiencing slower ticket sales. While Coachella's 2025 opening-weekend GA passes eventually sold out, second-weekend passes remain available, indicating a broader shift in the festival market.
