Percy "Master P" Miller has been appointed as President of Basketball Operations for the University of New Orleans men's basketball team, bringing his extensive basketball experience and community leadership to the role.

Miller, known primarily as a music mogul, has deep roots in basketball as a former college player and successful AAU coach. His team, P. Miller's Ballers, secured three national championships, and he has coached several NBA players including DeMar DeRozan, Brandon Jennings, Lance Stephenson, and Jalen Suggs.

Head men's basketball coach Stacy Hollowell praised Miller's appointment, highlighting his dedication to the city and the university. Hollowell emphasized that Miller's basketball knowledge and local connections will significantly benefit the program.

Miller expressed his personal connection to the sport, stating, "As a kid growing up in New Orleans, I can honestly say that basketball changed and saved my life." His vision extends beyond athletics, focusing on creating opportunities for student-athletes both on and off the court.

As founder and chairman of Team Hope Foundation, Miller has demonstrated his commitment to community development through programs supporting youth and elderly citizens.
