Ed Sheeran and Cradle of Filth have completed a collaborative track that won't be included on the metal band's upcoming album, "The Screaming of the Valkyries," set for release in April.

According to Cradle of Filth's frontman Dani Filth, the track was recorded two years ago but hasn't been released due to scheduling conflicts and management decisions. The song, described as focusing on self-affirmation, successfully blends both artists' distinct styles.
"It's a cross between Ed Sheeran and Cradle of Filth," Dani explains. "You hear acoustic guitar that's clearly Ed Sheeran, then suddenly there's a blastbeat with Dani screaming. It's catchy and represents a good marriage between our styles."
The collaboration has been fully mixed and completed but remains unreleased. While Ed Sheeran's management team preferred a low-key release, the track will eventually be made public, though timing remains uncertain.
The band decided against including the song on their upcoming album to prevent it from overshadowing their other material. Despite significant anticipation, only a select few have heard the finished product, with Dani noting that even his mother hasn't listened to it yet.
While fans await this unique collaboration, they can look forward to Cradle of Filth's new album "The Screaming of the Valkyries" in April.
