Earthcore Festival in Crisis: Over 10 Artists Drop Out Due to Payment Issues
The iconic Australian EDM festival Earthcore faces potential collapse as multiple artists announce cancellations just days before its scheduled start on November 23rd.
DJ duo Coming Soon and Phaxe have publicly withdrawn from the festival, citing unpaid fees and unbooked flights. Coming Soon expressed unprecedented frustration in their 15-year career, stating they had "never been treated like that ever in our industry."

According to the artists, over 10 more performers are expected to withdraw due to payment issues. They claim the festival promoter knowingly continued ticket sales despite being unable to pay scheduled artists.

Festival organizers attempted to downplay the situation, claiming on Facebook that Coming Soon and fellow performer Bliss withdrew due to "double-booking" issues.
This potential collapse follows a troubled year for music festivals globally:
- Fyre Festival's infamous luxury event devolved into chaos
- Pemberton Music Festival declared bankruptcy two months before showtime
- The Gathering festival allegedly delivered a makeshift wooden stage instead of promised professional equipment
- Route 91 Festival ended in tragedy
Earthcore, founded in 1992, previously reached its peak in 2000 with 45,000 attendees at its seven-day event. The festival's current status remains uncertain as more artists consider withdrawing.
