While Lin-Manuel Miranda, who contributed to the original Moana soundtrack, is not involved in the sequel, the new musical team blends contemporary elements with traditional Polynesian sounds to create an immersive auditory experience.

Walt Disney Records will release a Deluxe Soundtrack edition on November 25, including the score, instrumental versions, and ATMOS mixes. A new featurette showcases recording-studio footage and interviews with:

  • Auli'i Cravalho (voice of Moana)
  • Dwayne Johnson (voice of Maui)
  • Directors Jason Hand, Dana Ledoux Miller, and David G. Derrick Jr.
  • Composers Barlow & Bear, Opetaia Foa'i, and Mark Mancina

The original Moana soundtrack (2016) achieved over 20 billion streams worldwide, featuring hits like "You're Welcome" and "How Far I'll Go." The sequel's soundtrack aims to continue this musical legacy while introducing new songs that enhance the storytelling experience.

The soundtrack is available now on all major streaming platforms, offering fans an early glimpse into Moana's next adventure across Oceania. While story details, including the identity of the film's villain, remain under wraps, the music provides the first taste of what audiences can expect from this highly anticipated sequel.
