Diddy's Legal Team Pushes for Gag Order as Sex Trafficking Trial Approaches
Sean "Diddy" Combs' lawyers have filed for a gag order amid his ongoing racketeering and sex trafficking case, citing concerns over witness statements affecting his right to a fair trial.

Defense attorneys Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos submitted the request to Judge Arun Subramanian, responding to what they describe as "improper pretrial publicity" from an unnamed witness who claims to possess incriminating videos of Combs. The defense team strongly denies these allegations, calling them part of a "pathetic extortion scheme."
The witness, who allegedly has never met Combs, claims to have received tapes from a deceased individual along with a purported memoir from the mother of Combs' children. Combs' legal team argues these unverified claims are damaging his reputation and potentially influencing future jurors.
This follows a previous October motion where Combs' attorneys sought to restrict federal law enforcement leaks to media. While Judge Subramanian denied that request, he emphasized the importance of protecting non-public information to ensure trial fairness.
Combs, who recently turned 55 while in custody, awaits his May 5 trial. The court is expected to rule on the gag order request in the coming weeks, as the defense team works to maintain courtroom integrity amid intense media scrutiny.
