Death Row Records Dispute: Snoop Dogg, Suge Knight Face $107M Lawsuit Over Alleged Fraud
Former Death Row Records executive Lydia Harris has filed a $107 million lawsuit against Snoop Dogg, Suge Knight, Lucian Grainge, and Jimmy Iovine, alleging fraud and conspiracy to avoid paying a previous judgment.

The lawsuit, filed in Texas, claims Harris was a co-founder and first vice president of Death Row Records. She was initially awarded the $107 million judgment in 2005 following a civil trial regarding her and her husband Michael "Harry-O" Harris's role in founding the label.
Harris alleges that Knight and other defendants:
- Concealed financial records
- Filed fraudulent motions
- Misused bankruptcy court
- Used systematic misrepresentation to avoid payment
The case stems from Harry-O's $1.5 million investment in Death Row Records' launch in the 1980s, which came with an expected 50% profit share agreement. While Harry-O served a 28-year prison sentence, Knight allegedly became distant, prompting Lydia Harris to pursue legal action independently.
Snoop Dogg's involvement in the lawsuit relates to his 2022 acquisition of Death Row Records from MNRK Music Group. Despite the 2005 judgment, Harris claims she hasn't received any payments in the past 20 years.
The lawsuit seeks:
- Punitive damages
- Recovery of owed assets
- Complete accounting of Death Row Records' finances
