Investigation Discovery's upcoming documentary "Chris Brown: A History of Violence" premieres October 27, 2024, examining the controversial history of the Grammy-winning artist through accounts of alleged abuse and violence.

The documentary, produced by Ample Entertainment, is part of ID's No Excuse for Abuse initiative during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It features interviews with Brown's former associates and intimate partner violence experts, focusing on multiple allegations throughout his career.

The film prominently features the infamous 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna, which resulted in Brown's felony conviction. It also includes testimony from "Jane Doe," who alleges Brown assaulted her at a 2020 yacht party hosted by Sean "Diddy" Combs, leading to a $20 million lawsuit that was later dismissed.

Sunny Hostin, former prosecutor and co-host of The View, will lead a post-premiere discussion about legal implications and resources for survivors of intimate partner violence.

The documentary challenges the entertainment industry's handling of abuse allegations while examining how fame can shield individuals from accountability. Brown's representatives have denied all allegations, calling them "malicious and false."

This investigative piece aims to amplify survivors' voices and promote broader discussions about accountability in the music industry and society's response to allegations against high-profile figures.
