Upon receiving the Song of the Year award for "Guess," Charli humorously remarked, "I'm really happy that a song about underwear now has a Brit award, very important stuff."
Other notable winners included:
- Stormzy
- Sam Fender
- Ezra Collective
- The Last Dinner Party (Best New Artist)
- Chappell Roan and Fontaines DC (International categories)
- Sabrina Carpenter (Global Success Award)
Addressing the significance of her dance music recognition, Charli stated, "Dance music, electronic music, gets a really bad rep, because everyone is like, 'It's not that deep, is it?' And I kind of feel it is. This genre of music for me is euphoric; it allows me to escape, it allows me to feel on such a deep level."
Industry leaders celebrated her success, with Ed Howard, Co-President of Atlantic Records UK, praising her as "an inspiration and a pioneer." Tony Harlow, CEO of Warner Music UK, added that Charli's international success demonstrates how British artists can still resonate with a worldwide audience.
The ceremony also included a touching video tribute to Liam Payne, who passed away in October.
